WINTER TIPS
PRESSURE
DROP
Cold weather can cause more than the barometer to drop. The
pressure in your tires will also drop. We have found that in
our personal cars it has been as much as 12 pounds. Low tire
pressure mean more fuel consumption. Your cars handling is also
affected by low tire pressure. It is important to check your
tire pressures regularly. At Importech we check your tire pressures
during our oil change service as part of our free services to
you, our customers.
WINTER WARM UP
Getting into your car first thing on a cold morning all you
want is heat and fast. Do not just crank the heat up to full
right away. Why? Because by doing so you are making the coolant
circulate more. This makes the warm up process take more time.
Wait until the temperature gauge starts to move then switch
the heat on. |
